Every reason I need to smile fits inside your name.
I wanted to build you something small and quiet — not for any special day, just because you deserve to be reminded of this on an ordinary Thursday too.
You are the most understanding person I know. You make room for me even on my hardest days, and you never make me feel small for having them. There is a steadiness in you, a maturity, that makes everything feel like it will be okay — because you're in it with me.
And then there's the simple, unfair fact that you're gorgeous. Beautiful in the way that sneaks up on me even now, in the middle of ordinary moments — the way you laugh, the way you show up for the people you love, the way you show up for me.
Thank you for being my softest place to land. I love you more than this little page could ever hold.
You listen before you judge, and you always try to see things from where I'm standing. That kind of patience is rare, honey.
You handle hard moments with a calm I admire — you think before you react, and it makes me trust you more every day.
Inside and out — but especially the quiet kind of beautiful that shows in how gently you treat the people around you.
You cheer for me louder than I cheer for myself. Every goal feels reachable because I know you're behind me.
You could walk into any room and I'd still only be looking at you. That hasn't changed and it never will.
Out of everyone, you chose me — and honestly, that might be the reason I'm proudest of.
March 12th: The Iftar Gathering. It was the day we first met. I remember seeing you sitting on a chair, looking like the most chill person in the entire room, haha. I just saw this incredibly cute girl. Thanks to Anish for finally introducing us! We talked so much that day. When that senior took the knife from you and you complained to me about it... my heart just melted. You were complaining so cutely, and I just told you to come sit on the chair behind me. After that first meet, we actually didn’t talk for a long time. Right before Eid-ul-Fitr, thank God I didn’t ask for anything, otherwise, well... you know! I eventually found out you had gone back home, so nothing happened anyway. Then came Eid day. You messaged me about the campus weather, which totally ruined my excitement about wearing my new Punjabi! But also, thanks to the "LT scam," I ended up replying to your status. From that day on, our real conversation started, hehe
I like you so much. You’re the closest person in my life, and I want to spend the rest of my life with you. You are completely irreplaceable; you’re the one I love so deeply. You have no idea how much you mean to me and how grateful I am to have you in my life. Let's build our future together, supporting each other through our careers, our personal lives, and making our parents proud. Thank you, Honey, for walking into my life.
